Mediation/Due Process Representation 

• legal representation for students invoking their procedural safeguards and requesting mediation or a due process hearing to pursue appropriate educational services or placement, including a change in placement to a non-public facility; assisting with defense for parents when a school system files to challenge a parent’s request for independent evaluation or refusal to consent to specific changes in a child’s IEP (restraint and seclusion, removal from diploma track, alternative assessments).
